1. Who We Are

This website is operated by Lubicode, an independent web development practice based at Ernest Staasstraat 43, 2523KJ, The Hague, Netherlands. Lubicode is the data controller responsible for your personal data in connection with this website. If you have any questions about this policy or how your data is handled, contact us at contact@lubicode.com.

2. Scope

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit this website, request a quote, or engage Lubicode for services, why we collect it, how it is used, and what rights you have over it. It applies to this website and to the project and client communication that follows from it.

3. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly, such as when you fill out a contact or quote request form, email us, or book a consultation. This typically includes your name, email address, phone number, business name, and details about your project.

Information collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and general usage data collected through standard web server logs. This is used only for security, troubleshooting, and keeping the site running reliably.

Payment-related information, if you engage Lubicode for paid services. Payments are processed directly by third-party payment providers (see Section 6). Lubicode does not collect or store your full card or bank details on this website.

We do not knowingly collect any special categories of personal data (such as health, religious, or biometric data) through this website.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under the GDPR:

  • Contract: to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and deliver services you have engaged us for.
  • Legitimate interest: to maintain the security and functioning of this website, and to follow up on enquiries.
  • Consent: where you have explicitly agreed, such as subscribing to updates.
  • Legal obligation: where we are required to retain certain records, such as invoices, for tax purposes.

5. How We Use Your Information

Information submitted through our contact or quote forms is used to respond to your enquiry, discuss your project, and provide a quote or proposal. Information collected in the course of an active project is used to deliver, support, and invoice that project. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Third-Party Services

We work with a small number of trusted third-party providers to run this website and deliver our services. Depending on how you interact with us, your data may be processed by:

  • Hostinger: our website hosting provider.
  • Mollie, Stripe, or PayPal: used to process payments for services, where applicable. These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle payment data.
  • Email service providers: used to send and receive project-related correspondence.

These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

7. Cookies

This website uses only the functional cookies required for it to work correctly, such as those used by WordPress. We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly and, where required, your consent will be requested.

8. Data Retention

Enquiry and contact form data is kept only as long as needed to respond to you or complete a related project, and is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. Invoices and related financial records are retained for as long as required under Dutch tax law (generally seven years).

9. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data you share with us against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information protected.

10. International Data Transfers

Some of the third-party providers listed in Section 6 may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we rely on providers that maintain appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect your data.

11. Your Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Request deletion of your data;
  • Restrict or object to certain processing;
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@lubicode.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) if you believe your data has been mishandled.

12. Children’s Privacy

This website and our services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

13. Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
